This product contains NO yeast, wheat gluten, soy protein, milk/dairy, corn, sodium, starch, artificial coloring, preservatives or flavoring.
Iron was removed because of these increasing concerns.
1) The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the American Academy of Pediatrics states that accidental iron poisoning is one of the leading causes of fatal poisoning in children. These children get very sick, required hospitalization and can even die from iron poisoning.
2) Iron deficiency anemia has become much less common in the United States over the past 30 years, primarily due to iron-fortified infant formulas and cereals. Multivitamins with iron aren't adequate for children with iron-deficiency anemia who have such low iron stores, so a separate daily iron supplement is required.
3) Iron containing vitamins are very unpalatable. Children generally do not like to take them, so they will miss the majority of valuable nutrients in the vitamin other than the small amount of iron. Parents should insist on source of iron from healthy food rather than rely simply on vitamin with iron.
