--- Advance in Skin Depigmentation and Skin Lightening
Skin is the largest protective organ covering our body.
Melanin production in our skin is a natural protective reaction to absorb and reflect ultraviolet energy before it damages the skin cells. The pigment-producing cells of the skin are called melanocytes and their activity is the major determinant of the color of the hair and skin. There are two major forms of melanin produced in the epidermis and hair follicles - eumelanin and pheomelanin. Eumelanin is brown to black in color while pheomelanin is yellow to red in color.
The Process of Melanin Production
The pituitary gland in our brain produces a hormone called Melanocyte-Stimulating Hormone (MSH), which will react with the β-M1CR (melanocortin 1 receptor) on the cell membrane. Through this response it starts to convert the amino acid Tyrosine into Tyrosinase. Tyrosinase, a copper-containing enzyme, will catalyze the reaction of Dopa into Dopaquinone and continue the chemical changes which eventually produces pheomelanins or Eumelanins.
The cause of hyperpigmentation (brown spots etc.) and aging of the skin
Under normal circumstance melanin will gradually fade away follow the skin monthly metabolism cycle. However, if over exposure to ultra violate light (natural or artificial), which will stimulate MSH enzyme, and start a chin reaction of melanin production, the ultimate result is darkening of the skin color. Ultra violate also stimulate free radical production which will gradually destroy the normal healthy skin cell and speed up the aging process, such as, wrinkle, sagging and skin cancer.
Advanced Concept in Depigmentation and skin Lightening
1. Preventive measures
Melanocytes are the cells that produce melanin. It is a complicate process, but just to make it simple, on the membrane of melanocytes there are many β-MC1R receptors (melanocortin 1 receptor) acting as the key switch to turn on the tyrosinase, the melanin synthesis process. When a β-MC1R receptor reacts with an β-Melanocytes Stimulating Hormone (MSH), the end result is the production of pigmentation. However, there is another hormone naturally existing in the organism and i
nvolved in the system that regulates melanogenesis called anti-MSH. When more anti-MSH occupies the β -MC1R receptor, there is a decrease in melanin. Sunshine or UV light activates β-MSH, which will increase synthesis of melanin and a rise in the pigmentation of the skin.Use the newest, patented AMHP compounds, which are synthesized from amino acid, creating a similar molecular conformation as MSH to target the membrane β-MC1R receptor. Its mode of action is a natural and reversible blockage of the membran
e receptors to stop the synthesis of melanin right from the beginning. We recommend that you use Moisturizing Sun Screen SPF-15 or higher for full protection.2. Diminish pigmentation and Lightening
There are several ways to reduce pigmentation.
1) Dissolve the melanin by destroying it and restoring skin back to normal color. Usually this is accomplished by using Hydroquinone, or a derivative such as Arbutin, Kojic Acid, bearberry etc.
2) Whitening - inhibits production of Tyrosinase or diminishes its activity by chelating the activity of copper. There is EDTA to chelate Cu++ and Kojic Acid, Arbutin, bearberry to inhibit activity of Tyrosinase. All of these steps will interfere with the continuation of melanin production.
3) Broad-spectrum sunscreen prevents ultraviolet invasion, which triggers the entire melanin process.
3. Increase cell turnover with the newest bio-peptide.
The ultimate goal is to increase cell metabolism that will speed up the turnover rate, at the same time, protect and prevent any melanin production to achieve a total skin renewal and lightening result.
Those who want to have a lighter skin color or reduce pre-existing pigmentation must follow the right steps, know the cause for prevention and recovery back to the normal color.
Most importantly, apply the most advanced skin therapy in depigmentation and skin lightening.
